In the mid 1990’s William W. Thies and Russell W. Beall met one another while attending Louisiana State University. Upon graduating, both enrolled in law school and began what would become a long friendship of analyzing, discussing and applying the law. Following law school, each went their separate ways and began enjoying very successful legal careers with different firms.
In late 2003, a mutual friend and successful attorney of 37 years was ending his career and personally entrusted Billy and Russell to continue championing the causes of those hurt by the negligence of others. Through this mutual friend, Russell and Billy began to meet the thousands of clients this older attorney had represented over the years and listened to the stories of how the dogged dedication of this one lawyer helped right the wrongs that had been placed upon them. It was then their path became clear.
On December 12, 2003, BEALL & THIES, LLC was formed. While the Law Firm in Baton Rouge continues to maintain a dedication and focus on personal injury and helping those wronged by the negligence of others, Billy and Russell have expanded the firm to handle Family Law cases, as well as all types of Criminal and DWI Defense. BEALL & THIES, LLC has also come to represent a significant number of small business owners with their unique legal problems, as well as other lawyers facing disciplinary action by the state bar. They consider representing Baton Rouge small business owners and other lawyers an honor and a sign of the level of respect maintained by this firm within the business and legal community. Any small business owner or lawyer facing the possibility of losing his livelihood only hires the best.
In the summer of 2007, BEALL & THIES, LLC made a purchase which provided the firm the privilege of continuing the presence of a law firm within the downtown Baton Rouge building located at 351 St. Ferdinand Street. The building was constructed in the late 1960’s by local attorney Walton Barnes and had been maintained as a law office ever since. BEALL & THIES, LLC completely remodeled the building, but of course, maintained a few subtle “tips of the hat” to Attorney Barnes’ original construction.
Most of our personal injury cases come from referrals from satisfied former clients and the friends and family of satisfied clients.
However, an ever increasing percentage of our client base (perhaps at any given time as much as 25% of all personal injury cases) come from referrals from other personal injury lawyers who turn to our experience, knowledge, and financial stability to assist them while working the case together to protect the client’s best interests. Whenever another lawyer and the client retain our services, BEALL & THIES, LLC works the case with the referring law firm together. There are never two attorney fees. Only the same single attorney fee split between the attorneys never to the detriment of the client. When choosing a law firm to represent you, ask that firm what percentage of their client base is referred by other lawyers.
